Is it because men that they deem suitable are not attracted to them? Do they put their career first until they get into their 30′s and find that by then, all the good men who want marriage are gone and the remainder are not interested? The female lawyers that I have met want a nice boyfriend/husband like most other women (Women do not need men and men do not need women, so no related comments please).

Probably because by the time they have succeeded with their career, they reach the age where they are no longer as sexually desirable compared to younger women.
Also, they reach the age where they are no longer emotionally desirable because usually they have grown to become way too serious, not as playful and exciting to be around, and usually their minds are set on building a family when guys want to have fun with the girl for a few years before having kids and getting married. Younger girls are more playful and want to enjoy themselves and have fun with guys. So, guys tend to go for those girls.
Specifically the main reason is, guys want to grow up with the girl he’s with. He wants to be with her as she builds her career. He wants to be with her as she grows to become more serious about life. A strong bond is created. But if she is already the grown experienced woman with family plans when the guy meets her, thats boring and there not much to grow into. She’s already set in her ways and compromise and being a little flexible about things is more difficult.
These female lawyer types in Australia are also "lawyers". Lawyers are usually controlling and all about mind games and getting their way. The last thing a guy wants is a girl who acts like his mother.
