my ex has been charged with assaulting me. he has got a lawyer to represent him. do i need one too? he has been abusing me in the past year and i really want the facts to be presented in court. i’ve been keeping a diary for this purpose. so where can i get legal help? im in perth , western australia.

Go to your local law enforcement office and ask them for a list. They should be able to help you, also try the going to the court house… they have that info there too.
