This quote,came about due to a man named Dennis Ferguson. Even the PM. Mr Rudd quoted. No one is above the law. If you have not commented a crime, how then can you be punished ?. with only the written word ? you are found guilty. You can not obtain legal aid,even being on the pension,with no assets. You can supply proof of your innocents,yet legal aid rejects this.
Where then is this Justice ? that the Queensland premiere Quoted ?.

Australia’s Justice System is totally screwed…… You are guilty until proven innocent, and trying to prove your innocence is so hard when Legal aid wont even help. Unless you are rich and can afford a lawyer, you will never be able to clear your name. The Government needs to get of their butts, and make the Justice System fair and just. Also make the same standards for each state, instead of different standards.
The legal system is a complete mess and in place only to protect the wealthy and powerful. A complete overhaul is needed with a greater emphasis placed on the expectations of the people and far less power to lawyers to pervert justice.
You refer to Martin Ferguson and his right to be regarded as innocent until proven guilty. That would be fine if it wasn’t for the fact that he has served time for pedophilia and as such he should never have been permitted back into society until he was shown to be no danger to children. This could be achieved by voluntary or enforced castration or some other means. The choice would be his and not a requirement that we have to accept his deviance or put children at risk.
