I am trying to sell my conveyancing business in Australia and I have been told by a lawyer who said he was interested that the goodwill I have built up over 6 years from starting my business from nothing till now is worth nothing. I was flaberghasted. Does anyone know a fair way to value a business that is composed of good will with a 25% component of work in progress which is to be sold with the business????? I don’t want to give it away after 6 years of hard work and would love someone with conveyancing experience to enjoy the freedom of working from home and earning a good income and who is willing to pay me a fair price for all my hard work. I am retiring…I am sooo tired…..Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Hi all,
I want to know if there are solicitors in Sydney or Australia or if they even exist whereby if you don’t win the case, you don’t pay. No win, no fee – something like that.
The reason being is that my girlfriend was sexually harassed in the workforce some 4 months ago and we’re contemplating taking him to court and taking the matter further, after he denied allegations against him in a 19-page statement I submitted to the Human Rights organisation here in Sydney. We both know we have a case and a strong case.
My girlfriend is experiencing flashbacks and often has nightmares about the incidences and the ex-employer. We must pursue this case further.
Again, I want to know if there are any solicitors in Sydney, Australia who offer a no win, no fee basis. If so, how do we find them. Does anyone know what they are called? Any other information would be highly appreciated.
I hope to hear from you all soon.
Thanks in advance.

Me and my boyfriend bought a house together last July (2007) and got a 100% fixed rate morgage through Northern Rock. We broke up in June this year (2008) and all I want to do is take my name off the morgage – how do I go about doing this and will it cost anything? Im going to see a solicitor on Thursday this week.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks in advance.

I pulled out of a house contract before 3 days cooling off and did not pay any deposit on the house – now have a legal bill for a penalty fee. Can they make me pay? They have sold the house anyway since and suffered no loss. Appreciate any help before it costs me more with a solicitor fee. Thanks in advance
