Oluwakemi Ajose, 19, and Hatice Can, then aged 13, subjected Rosie Boxall to a campaign of abuse for two years before she leapt to her death from the window of the older girl’s flat in Blackheath, southeast London.
Miss Boxall, also 19, was punched, slapped, pulled by her hair, sprayed in the eyes with deodorant and branded a "whore" and a "slag" by her former friends.
In the minutes before her death she was filmed on a mobile phone as the "controlling and violent" younger Hatice Can, now 15, ordered Ajose to slap her around the head and pull her from a chair by the hair.
Rosie leapt 30ft to her death to escape her tormentors.
Minutes before she jumped from the third floor window, she was told by Can: ‘Do you want to die? Jump out of the window.’
When Rosimeiri replied: ‘Do you want me to jump?’ the 13-year-old said simply: ‘Yes’.
As she lay dying on the concrete the Can told her: "Serves you right, bitch."
Can was jealous because a boy had said he liked Rosi better than Can.
An Old Bailey jury convicted both girls of manslaughter after a three-week trial. They will be sentenced on December 15 and face lengthy spells behind bars.
Can had spent much of the trial talking to friends on her mobile phone and laughing as she tried on her barrister’s wig and gown – apparently unaware of the seriousness of her position.
Roger Smart, prosecuting, had told them: "Rosie leapt to her death from the kitchen window of Kemi’s flat to escape from a prolonged period of physical and verbal abuse. Immediately before Rosie fell, she was clearly in fear of being hurt physically. This fear caused her to leap out of the window, as a result of which she met her death."
Miss Boxall, whose adopted father, the Rev Simon Boxall, ran a community church in Thamesmead, southeast London, had left home the previous year. In March 2007 she dropped out of college and two months later ran away from home to live with Ajose.

I have been to a hearing with the AIRC for unfair dismissal and the commissioner has ruled in my favour (yah, I represented myself and they had a barrister) and now I have to go to a conciliation conference. What outcome can I expect, as in monetary terms? It is not possible for me to be reinstated (who would want to go back there now anyway). It has been 3 months since I left and I have suffered from depression because of it, my Dr says it will be another six months before I will be in the right state of mind to work again and even then there is no guarantee, since I would have been out of work for 9 months – with no previous reference and given the current economical state and the high unemployment rate there’s not a great chance. Also my husband and I have seperated and this whole things has been a major contributing factor – my depression. I have to move because I can’t afford to stay renting where I am. I can no longer apply for the first home owners grant, because I don’t have a job. Please help with with an amount of money that would be reasonable for me to expect. I cant afford legal advise.

The Plaintiff (sister) forced sale of house in the Supreme Court. I offered her 0 000 before court to cut costs. She rejected my offer and others but it eventually sold for 0 000. I was unrepresented because I could not afford a solicitor and I suffer with depression and anxiety, therfore I was clearly distressed and not in control of myself at court when her barrister gave me a Notice Of Motion to sign, I signed the NOM that I did not understand because her threats, fear and intimadation. Months later I found the barrister lied to me, I tried to change the NOM and it was dismissed in Court as it was submitted on wrong paperwork. Each day is hard to stay alive because of the injustice of protecting myself. They apoligise and adjusted many mistakes and I made ONE ERROR because I didn’t know the law.
The courts not about TRUTH its about whose sucking who!!!!
This is an injustice because the barrister abused their situation by taking advantantage of me and LIED. Is this Purgery?

G’day..
Okay, here’s the thing.
I’m a 17 year old, Australian guy in Year 12 who is looking at what to do next year. I’ve been bitten by the travel bug, and my natural ability to teach is a driving force in my choices.
I’ve done a bit of research into getting my TESOL certificate, to qualify me to teach English overseas.
I guess I’m asking for peoples thoughts, experiences and opinions on this adventure?
The Plan:
Jan-July
-Earn TESOL Certificate
-Acquire Bar tending and Coffee Barrister course.
July
Line up a 6 month contract teaching English in a school in China
After that, I ideally would like to organise 4 x 3-month contracts. For example;
Jan-March in Japan
April-June in Cambodia
July-Sept in Germany
Oct-Dec in India
The other countries I would like to tutor privately, work in bars/clubs at night and coffee houses during the day.
I’m prepared for the culture shock, and going at it alone, but I guess i’m just asking to see if this is a realistic plan?
I think it sounds too good to be true-.
(The countries are just an example)
I’m just after some advice, opinions and experiences.
Thanking you all in advance,
Brad.

Interested in law and today had the careers advisor from the Australian Careers Business College visit. She spoke on one course in particular that grabbed by attention – Paralegal diploma. Now this course seemed interesting as its like – and i use the term loosely – being a lawyer but basically you don’t appear in court. So how true is this perspective of mind? Ultimately I would like to be a barrister, but since I am not in a rush to run off to uni after completing the HSC this year, would this be one step in the right direction? The course is 1 year full-time and one day a week you do work experience at a workplace of your choice.
So…..
What exactly does a paralegal do?
What is the workload/ work environment like?
What is the salary for it like?
And ultimately would it provide any assistance in getting to where I want to be in regards to my future ambitions of Barrister.
This course does offer a lot of practical learning and has high job prospects through the college.
Thank u
This is in Australia by the way

My husband & I have a will together written up by our barrister.
We recently had a couple of new additions to our family, and haven’t changed our will to take them into account.
My question is, if my Husband & I were to die tomorrow, would our new children be incorporated in it, even if we hadn’t added them to it yet???
I can’t find our copy here at the moment, but I am pretty sure that our elder boys are mentioned by name, not *our children*.
Sorry about the morbid question.

The amount i ended up accepting was even below the low range amount that my lawyers had said i could receive. The evidence i had was actually a report that was requested by the CMC,that proved the dept of childrens services(DOCS),failed duty of care to me as a child,by knowing i was being exposed to all forms of abuse by the approved carers i was given to as a baby. They removed me at age 10, but also removed 4 of there biological kids as well.I had a back injury,i have scars on my face dating back to the age of 2, i have no recall of how i got the scars only my file i requested through FOI,gave me that info, plus that i had a broken arm and finger formation marks around my neck. There is much more that is documented that should of warranted my removal many times from the carers.I know i could win in court but i listened to my barrister and lawyer whom that day, didnt even bother to highlight issues that are in my favor,i know that this dept. is rarely proven to be held accountable for their failures, so i know i achieved a legal level that had been denied to other victims.I can not say publicly what i got, only it was resolved, but i made sure that there were no restrictions in me telling my story and i will.By the way on signing the outcome documents, i never was given the chance to read the documents myself, my barrister just read out loud bits of it, should i have had the legal rights to be given the papers to read myself before signing?Another reason why i feel i was shafted, is when i was signing where i was told to sign, my barrister noticed that i was left-handed and says qoute"if i had known you were lefthanded, i would of gotten you more money" i felt a kick in my gut right there.I would hate to think that i made a wrong decision that day, that i know ended with an amount that now i feel i failed not only myself now as an adult, but i also failed a little girl whom i know suffered enormous pain,me.

Are you thinking about selling your home yourself? then
