If we put our terms of sales and service on our invoices based on what we have seen similar businesses use, do we need to show a solicitor? We are trying save costs and time by using one.

It depends on the type of business you’re in. Do you expect to have to deal with a lot of issues about supply and payment of your goods and services? If so, you probably need a solicitor to cast their eye over your T&C’s.

Look at the T&C’s of some of the bigger companies. They’re usually the ones who’ve had them drawn up by a lawyer so they should cover most things.

What’s better – save a few hundred pounds now by not using a solicitor or save yourself thousands in a lawsuit at a later date by having watertight conditions drawn up now?

    Good luck!
