My mother’s will is equally divided between 4 siblings and 1 is making a claim that he paid off her house, which is not true as I have all the reciepts and the same solicitor that wrote the will also dealt with the house sale in 1952.
If you are a lawyer or have been in a similar situation please advise me on what to do. Thanks.

Are you thinking about selling your home yourself? then
First of all, it doesn’t matter if he paid for her house. If the deed is in your mother’s name she owned it at her death meaning that whatever she said in her will goes.
Second, go to the courthouse and find out if their is a lien on the property. If there is, the documentation will say who the lien holder is; usually whoever owns the mortgage. If there’s no lien that may mean that he did pay it off.
Third, you do have a lawyer right?
I’m not a lawyer, but it’s obvious that you have just o give these receipts to a good lawyer and the case is 100% yours.
doesn’t matter if he did pay it off,If the house is in mothers name and the will was properly prepared the will stands
