Is this legal? I am on a pension, the solicitor wants me to sign off on this will but I am confused as solicitor won’t explain the paper work to me and he will not give me a copy of my fathers will to see if my father made any stipulations they may reject what has happened in my mothers will. I need advice and don’t know where to turn. Legal aid state they can’t help me but I didn’t get passed the receptionist, I feel that my sister has influenced the will…can anyone give me some guidence as to who I can contact. My sister has already taken money out of mothers bank account before she died and I don’t feel this is right either, the solicitor who is handling this will is very friendly with my sister and i am worried that there may be something unethical going on here. All I want to do is to live in the family home without any problem, I have no money to fight this in court, I just need advice in what I should do.

Are you thinking about selling your home yourself? then
they will not show you your fathers will? There should be at least two copies of the will….the attorney’s copy and a copy that was given to the beneficary or someone your father chose. Do not sign off on anything good for you! will they give you a copy of what they want you to sign off on? So you can take it to your own attorney? You can also try walking into an estate attorney office and pleading with them to give you a few minutes to look it over and let you know what going on….
Some court houses have free legal councel that will tell you your rights but will not give you advice what so ever….Good Luck to you and im sorry i couldn’t help more
I would call a lawyer and ask to speak to him/her, telling them that you are unable to pay, ask for pro bono (free service) if he won’t keep asking lawyers until you find one who will, OR tell them if they work with you you will pay them out of the proceeds of the estate. It sounds like you are being ripped off. My sister also is in the same position as your sister and had all my mothers money put into an annunity under her name. So I hear where you are coming from. Good luck.
