for example lawyers, barristers, judges. looking for a name that encompasses all of them..? not sure whether there is one or not?

      No. Judges are called judges. Attorneys are called lawyers, counselors, or esquire. Paralegals, legal assistants, and legal secretaries may collectively be called legal support staff or similar.

Some facets of the law are contrary to popular conceptions of common sense. In spite of lawyer jokes and television, law is actually a very regulated profession. Non-work related activities that a fiduciary or physician freely engage in can – and do – get an attorney disbarred, and the ethical requirements to even be allowed to sit for the bar are quite rigorous.
