ok, well we look after a disabled man who’s brother is also disabled. his brother became quite violent and ended up going to a home long before we came along. anyway, the solicitor is f*cking us around and we need to know whether the brother is dead or alive. if anyone could please tell me how to do this i would really appreciate it.

Well, first see if you can find out the name of the home – if he’s not still there, maybe they have information on him. I suppose you could also search obituaries on line and see if he’s passed away, or see if there’s a death certificate. I believe the brother should be able to request one if it exists.

Check with the town he lives in, Municipal building. Any place where birth records or death certificates are stored. You also may want to do a general search online in the obiturary link that alot of newspapers will have.

the mans brother should contact the administrator of the facility

    5. In the USA, you can generally find someone by tracking their social security number.
