    1. You need to speak with her social worker or the department of social services or whoever gave you custody.

Contact an adoption agency. They usually are listed in phone books.
You might also make sure that your credit is good, your house clean and clutter free, and that you live on high ground before you contact them–because they will check.

Try contacting State Child Services and Foster Care Administration for your state…maybe they can guide you.

I live in Belle Chasse, have you tried contacting a regular lawyer? It’s free to consult with one, then they will give you a round a bout figure of how much their services are going to cost. Are you fostering this child? If so, contact the agency that is allowing you to foster her. If this is a family or friend issue, call the department of children’s services and ask them what paperwork you need to get the process moving. After that, you can find most of the filing (motion to file or proceed) paperwork online (under courts.state.la.gov or something similar to that). Keep in mind, this can take up to a year. Good luck and bless you!

    6. MOVE OUT OF THE CITY!!!!! Call slu legal aid in Tangi Parrish. Raising a child in that city is a stupid thing to do…no medical to speak of…the schools have a long way to go not to mention just walking the street can get you killed! Move out of the city and you will have better luck on adopting and raising that child to adulthood
