Centrelink will have the name of an organisation that offers free legal advice and services to low income people, so give them a call and ask for help.

Call the police and get a restraining order against your ex- he’s practising psychological abuse and that is grounds for a restraining order. Mention that you feel he intends to hurt your baby if he get’s his hands on the kid and he won’t be allowed near it without a police presence!

Breastfeed exclusively- if you are on sole parents pension there is nothing preventing you from doing so and legally they cannot remove a breastfed infant from it’s mothers care until after it is weaned.

Do place his name on the birth certificate, as you live that distance from him before the birth you do not have to take the child to him for access visits, he has to come to you. Putting his name on the birth certificate means that you can get child support out of him, and having a restraining order in place means he can’t come near you or your child without your consent.

Get a custody arrangement in place BEFORE your child is born, give him supervised access only. YOU name who does the supervising (I’d pick a police officer!)

    2. tell em a dingo ate it get yourself a movie and make millions

hire someone to junk kick your deadbeat of an ex

Make a few calls, family services would be a good place to start as they would be able to point you in the right direction :)

if you are breast feeding your baby the courts will not let the baby go away from you for that amount of time. and you can fight that point in court if you have too. go see a legal aid solicitor, visit a local solicitor and ask if they do legal aid and if not can they recommend one for you.
i wouldnt worry too much though as he will get real sick of travelling that far to see the child i reckon.

There’s Legal Aid. If you have no income and little savings, you probably qualify.
