How is it that solicitors can charge $400 an hour in Australia? And they love writing letters.?

In my opinion this is robbery, as the average person earns around 00 a week. And they thought Ned Kelly was bad!
What other alternative is there

Good solicitors can certainly charge that much. It’s your choice to pay them or find a cheaper one.

Lawyers spend a minimum of 7 years in school, then several more studying while working for little, then have to spend significant time keeping their certification up to date (including ongoing training)
