yesterday I was booked for doin 53kph in a 40 kph zone, this will cost me 0.00 and 3 points.My question is how can I fight this as i know I was doing between 40/50kph,I cant afford a solicitor but am really cheesed off with this, I should point out it was raining at the time

Check your local Motor Vehicle Code, most states require that the issuing officer be certified in the use of that particular radar device, that the certification is current and the equipment used was calibrated within 60 days of the "alleged" violation by an independent agency. You have the right to represent yourself Pro Se (if in the United States) and you also have the right to challenge the issuing officer’s credentials don’t be intimidated exercise your rights. Most people don’t!

  2. Come rain or shine, if you break the law, you broke the law…so pay up and learn from it, 40/50 kph is still an offence, why don’t you do at 35-40?

    41 is still an offence. Pay up and pay more attention next time.

  4. You not gonna win. Every morning before an officer checks out a radar/laser gun they run a quick calibration test. Plus the fact that officers testify in traffic court on a regular basis means you will lose.
