A few years ago I used the services of a solicitor to sue another laywer. We managed to settled out of court for the amount of AUD.000.
I recieved AUD.000 and the solicitor kept AUD.000.
I would like to get some advice on how I maybe able to get the full amount I was entitled too.
I can’t believe he would charge me AUD.000.

He must have given you an itemized bill.
Have the bill "taxed". Make him justify his costs.

Lawyers will always tell you ahead of time in writing what their charges are. Did you sign papers with him? If so, and I assume you did, did you actually read everything on them? Most people don’t, and when you are dealing with lawyers, that could be a deadly mistake. I am sure he is well covered against anything you could or would be willing to try.

Report it to the organizatoin that all the lawyers belong to. In the US we call it the "bar" or "ethics board" or whatever.
But you shoulda done it almost right away.
Contractual stipulations will entitle you on what to claim. If there is a percentage in the contract that you signed, you will only get the amount based on the contract. If there is none, file a case against the lawyer and the court will determine on the amount that you should get.
just because you were awarded 32,000 doesn’t entitle you for the whole amount. They take a percentage.
