can someone that was formerly bankrupt – now discharged… become a solicitor – study law and then be admitted to practice in Aus?

    You will have to contact the Law Society in your state. I know in Queensland you can’t become a legal practitioner if you’ve been declared bankrupt. The relevant legislation in Queensland is the ‘legal profession act’

  2. We’re mostly Yanks on this board…you might want to call a legal society in Australia to get a correct answer on this…I would assume that this would not be an issue though.
