I went to court today to hopefully get a Domestic Violence Order against my ex, he agerned it till next Thursday so his solicitor can be there with him? does that neccesarily mean he is going to contest to it or would he want to change the conditions? I dont know, has this happened to anyone before? HELP!! Dont we all deserve peice and harmony in our lives? I just want to live a life without fear and this monster. Im scared he is going to contest to it and then he will show messages i sent to him (just swearing at him) against me, but they are nothing compared to what he has done to me.

It probably does mean that he will contest it. But, he could also be stupid and not know what the Judge is saying so he wants back-up.
As the complainant it is up to you to "show cause" (show why you need the AVO). That’s whay its called a "Show cause hearing". That’s why you need to bring friends/evidence to court to show why this guy has caused you fear, harrassed you, stalked you etc. (print out text massages/emails – write a statement for the judge etc) If you cannot prove it on the balance of probabilities (which means, more likely than not you are in fear) than you will lose and no AVO will be made.
Your ex can bring up that you have been texting him and getting angry at him, but you then have an opportunity to explain why you sent that particular message.
If it feels like your losing, just cry and tell the court how scared of him you are. It always works in my matters! and hopefully an AVO will be granted and made final (usually only for 2 years though)
keep your head up they are only trying to scare you into droping the thing,and yes you have a right to live in peace
