i am furious!! the father of my 6month old baby (never seen her and didnt want her) will not co-operate as far as child support. I have a solicitor trying to serve him and he has changed his number and packed up his business.

His family have no idea she even exists and i got in contact with his mother (i didnt tell her about her grandaughter as my solicitor advised me not to say anything at this time) i told her we are going thru a legal dispute and he is not co-operating and become un-contactable and he should have told you about it 12 months ago.

He ended up calling me and he said he will start co-operating and he has not done a thing!!! it has been nearly a week! and he didnt tell his mother either (he just brushed her off!) im furious!!

Do i have a right to feel so damn angry at this????

    1. Absolutely! He must be pretty horrible to not want to take care of his own child! The very least he can do is send some support. There are laws that will protect your child or find him responsible. It will be hard work since he is obviously hiding from you. I’m not sure why your solicitor would suggest you not mention the baby to his family. You should use any means at your disposal to help your child. I guess if he just brushed off his mom, he doesn’t respect her either. Would his parents make good grandparents? Learn as much as you can about the law concerning child support/custody/visitation etc. Your baby deserves support from her father. Take serious time to consider if you and your baby will be better off with or without him in your life. He should be ashamed of himself! And you have every right to be furious! Make sure your baby grows up knowing how much she is loved! I wish you the best.
